Sundays listenings: Lana del Rey and The Vaccines

Easy Sunday. Lana and The Vaccines issued 2 of the most complete cds I've listened in the last few months. Lana's "Born To Die" (2012) and The Vaccines' "What Did You Expect From The Vaccines" (2011) have great quality songs which could be potentiel hits, not simply one hit wonders.

Looking for candie payne and The On/Offs. Have you heard about them ?

Hey, have you listened to their songs ?

Candie's CD I Wish I Could Have Loved You More was issued in 2007. It contained a bunch of good songs ("All I Need to Hear", "One More Chance", "By Tomorrow", "I wish I Could Haved Loved You More"). As far as I know, Candie hasn't launch any other CD since then. From 2008 onwards, she has done guest appearences, amongst others, with Mark Ronson, Kings Have Long Arms, David Byrne & Fatboy Slim, Paul Weller and The Wild Swans.

I am hooked on one of The On/Off songs: "Wrong Upstairs". I know there quite a few bands with the same style but this song shakes you up !

You'll be always in my ears.

Ocean Colour Scene

Ocean Colour Scene were formed after two other local bands called The Boys and Fanatics disbanded. Fanatics released an EP titled Suburban Love Songs.[1] OCS signed to Phfftt Records in 1990. Since then they have played great music !!! One of My favourite bands !!!

Saint Etienne

MY FAVOURITE BAND !!!

Hello! My first post goes to my favourite band.

Saint Etienne are an English electronic music band from London, formed in 1990. The band consists of Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs. They are named after the French football team AS Saint-Étienne.

Saint Etienne were associated with the "indie dance" genre in the early 1990s. Their typical approach was to combine sonic elements of the dance-pop that emerged in the wake of the so-called Second Summer of Love (e.g. samples and digitally synthesized sounds) with an emphasis on songwriting involving romantic and introspective themes more commonly associated with traditional British pop and rock music. Early work demonstrated the influence of '60s soul, '70s dub and rock as well as '80s dance music, giving them a broad palette of sounds and a reputation for eclecticism. Years later, The Times wrote that they "deftly fused the grooviness of Swinging Sixties London with a post-acid house backbeat".
